A Short History:
H&S Machine Tool Service Inc. was founded in 1990 by Ernst Schlueter and Gunter Hiss after Wotan Machine Tools was sold to Pratt & Whitney Machine Tools. After Pratt & Whitney went bankrupt we had the obligation to supply parts and service to all Wotan users in the US and Canada. We also installed several Wotan machines for Schiess after Schiess purchased the Wotan Werke in Germany. In addition we installed all machines of the Cutmax type that were build by WMO in Brazil.
Ernst Schlueter worked as service and quality control engineer for Wotan Werke, Dusseldorf since 1956. In 1966 he helped start the US Division of Wotan Machine Tools and worked for Wotan until its takeover in1990. He retired from H&S in 2002.
Gunter Hiss worked as a service engineer and service manager for Wotan Machine Tools from 1977 to 1990. Bevor joining Wotan he worked for Schaudt in Stuttgart Germany, Sigma Machinery in NY and Olivetti Numerical Control in NJ as service engineer and manager. Today he is hard at work to provide spare parts to Wotan users and help to keep there machines operating at peak efficiency.
